Please be advised that the majority of fire code officials have adopted codes that require fire protection contractors to provide them with copies of all inspection and repair reports for fire suppression and fire alarm systems within their jurisdictions. They also require that we immediately report any impaired or out of service fire suppression or fire alarm systems.
107.2.1 Test and inspection records. Required test and inspection records shall be available to the fire code official at all times or such records as the fire code official designates shall be filed with the fire code official.
901.7 Systems out of service. Where a required fire protection system is out of service, the fire department and the fire code official shall be notified immediately and, where required by the fire code official, the building shall either be evacuated or an approved fire watch shall be provided for all occupants left unprotected by the shutdown until the fire protection system has been returned to service.
Since we have been using an online electronic reporting service for many years to perform and record our inspections, we will utilize this same service to make the designated reports available to all fire code officials as required.
If you should have any questions regarding the specific requirements in your jurisdiction, we recommend that you contact your local fire code officials. We thank you for your continued support, and welcome any questions or concerns you may have regarding the information contained herein.
